Dr. Rita Chioma is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse and Acute Care Nurse (PHMNP-BC, ACNP-BC) in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia. She earned her Doctorate with a focus in Psychiatric Mental Health from the University of Massachusetts global, Irvine, California. She received her Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She has over 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in complex roles requiring exceptional nursing care, medical assessments, and evidence-based treatment planning both as an adult acute care and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in Correction and acute rehabilitation facilities, Ambulatory care, and Veteran examination and disability claim center. She is patient-oriented and committed to providing optimum care to psychiatric mental health patients via telehealth and in person to meet their needs. As a mental health specialist, I believe it is of the utmost importance to be open-minded, listen attentively to my patients, and take pleasure in maintaining the well-being of my patients.
